Discover Five of the Best Romantic Getaways
Sunset on a beach, massage in a spa or champagne in a private Jacuzzi?
With work pressures sky-rocketing and most couples not spending enough time with one another, a romantic getaway is an excellent option. They give you alone time with your partner and pamper you with luxuries that can add love and spice to your relationship. The question is where? Read on to discover the best romantic getaways and save yourself some time so you can start enjoying yourself.
Some of the very best romantic getaways in the US:
Maui, Hawaii
It is said that Hawaii is Romance, and at Maui that is absolutely true. This romantic getaway paradise offers couples spas, resorts, exotic treks and adventures, and pristine beaches to get a great sun tan. The breath taking island of Maui is the second largest among the Hawaii islands and has won many awards for the ‘Best Island in the World.’ It is also the place where folks go for watching whales that migrate about 3500 miles to mate and give birth here in the winter months.
Key West, Florida
A four mile long island at the south-most tip of Florida Keys is the perfect place to celebrate an anniversary or make any occasion especially memorable. Not too hectic, not too adventurous, the Key West is known for its relaxing rejuvenation. While there are historical monuments and architectures that some rent a bike to visit, most couples enjoy soaking in the sun on the beautiful beaches. Scuba diving and snorkeling are other activities that one can enjoy on the beach and in the evenings there are several great options for fine cuisine and dining. A walk down the pleasantly lit streets is perfect for a romantic evening.
Charleston, South Carolina
The southern charm of horse carriages tick-tock-ing on cobblestone streets fills romance even in the stones of this city. It is recommended that one stay in the city’s large number of holiday inns or Bed & Breakfast places to experience the culture to the fullest. Water parks, museums, churches, gardens and historical steeples dot the landscape of the city. Watching the sunset on the city’s harbor and walking over the romantic Ravenel Cooper River Bridge under the stars at night is simply to die for.
Napa Valley, California
Known for its wineries, locals will proudly tell you that the name roughly translates to “you will always return.” About an hour away from San Francisco, the valley is postcard perfect. The hills, vineyards and quaint restaurants make this a place you never want to leave. The Bed & Breakfast lodges are your best option here. Napa Valley boasts of approximately 300 wineries and hosts about 5 million tourists annually.
Savannah, Georgia
Visited by millions each year, this historic city has its own special romantic touch to it. Victorian architecture, churches, synagogues, and the beautiful riverfront have earned the city the name – ‘Hostess City of the South.’ The historic district has 22 squares and is a place best experienced by walking around. Classic homes of yesteryear’s, sidewalks and Spanish moss clad oak trees add a poetic essence to the city. Enjoy a romantic stay in the city filled with options for great dining, including authentic seafood and barbecue.

Very nice post. I am so glad to see Savannah, Georgia. I don’t think many people know what a beautiful place it really is.
Everybody wants to getaway from the hectic schedule once a while, . Some do it because they want to break the monotony, some combine business with pleasure and some do it for the most obvious reason; for romance. Though there is no dearth of getaways, it is always difficult to group them according to the mood. For those hit with Cupid’s arrows, you don’t want to spend much time in research. This is exactly what they would need, 5 of the best romantic getaways.
Thanks
